Notre \u00e9quipe est compos\u00e9e d'experts dans les domaines de la p\u00e9rinatalit\u00e9 et de l'obst\u00e9trique. Notre \u00e9tude a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement lanc\u00e9e fin juin 2020. Bien que la premi\u00e8re vague de la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 semblait s'estomper \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0, certaines directives et politiques subsistaient, mais en grande partie le monde \u00e9tait confront\u00e9 \u00e0 de nombreuses incertitudes. Peu de temps apr\u00e8s notre lancement, nous avons re\u00e7u de nombreux commentaires de femmes qui avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 enceintes au d\u00e9but de la pand\u00e9mie mais avaient accouch\u00e9 au moment o\u00f9 ils ont d\u00e9couvert notre \u00e9tude. En r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 cela, nous avons lanc\u00e9 le volet de notre \u00e9tude sp\u00e9cifique pour ceux qui ont accouch\u00e9 depuis le 13 mars 2020 pour recueillir leurs exp\u00e9riences.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t <\/div>\n\t \t<\/div>\n\t\t <\/div>\n\t \n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\t\n\t

\u00c0 l'\u00e9t\u00e9 2021, notre \u00e9tude a int\u00e9ress\u00e9 plus de 6 000 femmes. Parmi celles-ci, 4 643 \u00e9taient \u00e9ligibles et ont accept\u00e9 de participer \u00e0 l'un ou l'autre des volets de l'\u00e9tude CONCEPTION (\u00e9taient actuellement enceintes ou ont accouch\u00e9 depuis le 13 mars 2020). Dans le groupe des personnes actuellement enceinte, 2 067 ont accept\u00e9 d'\u00eatre contact\u00e9es pour un suivi suite \u00e0 leur accouchement, et de toutes nos participantes, 1 978 ont accept\u00e9 de faire le lien entre leurs r\u00e9ponses au questionnaire et leurs donn\u00e9es d\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 administratif. Merci \u00e0 tous ceux qui soutiennent cette \u00e9tude !<\/p>\n

Alors que la pand\u00e9mie continue, notre \u00e9tude continue aussi! \u00c0 mesure que les restrictions se poursuivent ou sont lev\u00e9es, les nouvelles m\u00e8res peuvent vivre un niveau de stress qui autrement n'existerait pas s'il n'y avait pas de pand\u00e9mie. Beaucoup de nos participantes, en nous contactant, ont mentionn\u00e9 qu\u2019elles aimeraient nous faire part du stress li\u00e9 au retour au bureau lors d'une pand\u00e9mie ou \u00e0 commencer la garderie pendant la pand\u00e9mie alors que leur nouvel enfant n'a eu que des contacts humains limit\u00e9s \u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur de leurs parents pendant tant de mois. Notre \u00e9tude continuera donc d'\u00e9voluer avec le stress et les difficult\u00e9s v\u00e9cus par femmes enceintes tout au long de cette pand\u00e9mie alors que nous d\u00e9veloppons de nouvelles phases de notre \u00e9tude.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t <\/div>\n\t \t<\/div>\n\t\t <\/div>\n\t \n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\t\n\t

En f\u00e9vrier 2022, nous avons lanc\u00e9 un 3\u00e8me questionnaire afin de faire un suivi sur la sant\u00e9 et le d\u00e9veloppement cognitif de l\u2019enfant. Notre \u00e9quipe travaille pr\u00e9sentement sur un nouveau volet de l\u2019\u00e9tude, celui d\u2019un suivi \u00e0 24mois, en personne, avec les enfants dans le grand Montr\u00e9al. Timeline<\/h2>\n

2020<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Our study was officially launched at the end of June 2020. Although the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic seemed to be fading at that time, some guidelines and policies remained, but largely the world was facing many uncertainties. Shortly after our launch, we received multiple feedback from women who had been pregnant during the beginning of the pandemic but had given birth by the time they had discovered our study. In response, we launched the arm of our study specific for those who delivered since March 13th, 2020 to collect their experiences.<\/p>\n

2021<\/h1>\n

As of summer 2021, our study has interested more than 6,000 women. Of those, 4,643 were eligible and accepted to participate in either arm of the CONCEPTION Study (were currently pregnant or delivered since March 13 th , 2020). Of the currently pregnant group, 2,067 accepted to be contacted for a follow-up following their delivery, and of all our participants, 1,978 accepted to a linkage between their responses to the questionnaire and their administrative health data. Thank you to all who support this study!<\/p>

As the pandemic continues, so does our study! Not only that, as restrictions continue or are lifted, new mothers may experience a level of stress that would otherwise not been present if there was no pandemic. Many of our participants, when contacting us, mentioned that they would like to tell us about the stress related to returning to the office during a pandemic or to starting daycare during the pandemic when their new child has only had limited human contact outside of their parents for so many months. Our study will thus continue evolving with the stress and difficulties experienced by pregnant women along this pandemic as we develop new phases of our study.<\/p>\n

2022<\/h1>\n

In February 2022, we launched a 3rd questionnaire to follow up on the child's health and cognitive development. Our team is currently working on a new part of the study, that of a 24-month follow-up, which will be done in person, with children in the Greater Montreal area.
